Career Architect is a trading name of Digital Talent Lab Pty Ltd (ABN 32 665 812 215) (“Career Architect”, “we”, “us”, “our”). We take your privacy seriously and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to careerarchitect.io, our programs (including the Expert Chapter Program), masterclasses and webinars, coaching, newsletters, and any other time you deal with us.

1. What we collect

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
• Professional information you share with us: your CV, LinkedIn profile details, career history, goals, and anything you tell us in forms, calls, coaching sessions or the program community.
• Purchase details: what you bought, when, and whether payment went through. Payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
• Event and communication data: masterclass registrations and attendance, bookings, session recordings, and whether you open or click our emails.
• Website and device data: your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you fill in a form, register for an event, book a call, buy a program, send us a message or take part in a session. We also collect some information automatically when you use our website, and through the tools we use to run events and bookings. If you connect or message us on LinkedIn, we may see the information on your public profile.

3. Why we use it

• To deliver our programs, coaching and events, including sending joining links, reminders and materials.
• To process payments and keep business, tax and accounting records.
• To respond to your enquiries and book calls with you.
• To send you emails and newsletters about our programs and content (see “Marketing” below).
• To improve our website, content and programs.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Marketing

We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked for them or given us your consent, and in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop us from sending you essential messages about something you have bought, such as event links or program access.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers who help us run our business, and only so they can provide those services to us. These include providers of our CRM and email automation (including GoHighLevel), webinar hosting (including Zoho), workflow connections (including Zapier), email newsletters, payments, accounting, file storage and productivity tools, and website hosting and analytics.

Team members and contractors who help us support clients and manage our platforms can access information they need to do their work. We may also disclose information when the law requires or allows us to.

6. Sending information overseas

Some of our providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries. We take reasonable steps to choose providers that protect information appropriately, but we cannot control how overseas providers handle it once it is with them.

7. Our community

If you join the Expert Chapter Program community, anything you post there is visible to other members. Please only share what you are comfortable with them seeing.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tools to make our website work, understand how people use it, and measure our marketing. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the website may not work as well.

9. Security and how long we keep information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including using reputable platforms and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal requirements, and then delete or de-identify it.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us at the address below. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

12. Links to other sites

Our website and emails may link to other sites, such as LinkedIn. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on our website, with the date it was last updated.
